  • CCH reaches 1,500 improved homes landmark

    Ann James holding milestone signAdactus Housing Group member, Chorley Community Housing has made considerable progress with its property improvement programme and is already halfway to its target of modernising 3,000 homes.   The 1,500 homes mark has been passed.  The improvements, which mean new kitchens and bathrooms for every tenant, are being project managed by the Group Development Team, with tenant liaison managed by the local office in Chorley.

    Ann James, chair of Chorley Community Housing, said:  “We are spending nearly £10m a year in Chorley on new kitchens and bathrooms.  Tenant satisfaction with the improvement programme is approaching 100% and I’m delighted that we’ve reached the halfway mark.  It’s a testament to the hard work of the staff involved and to our partners Arcus Consulting and Bullock Construction."






     

  • Gillibrand Launch Event

    CCH Residents from the Gillibrands development got a chance to celebrate the completion of their new homes and meet all the partners involved in the process.

    The £4.9m development, consisting of two, three and four bedroom homes, have been created as one part of the Gillibrand Estate in Chorley.  They have been developed through a partnership between Chorley Council, Adactus Housing Group and the Homes & Communities Agency and will be managed by CCH. 

    The launch event was attended by Cllr. Peter Malpas, Chorley Council’s executive member for business, who said
    “Like most areas across the country, there is a demand for affordable family housing in Chorley and I am delighted
    we are tackling that demand and meeting the needs of local people”.

    All of the 38 houses are now being rented by families.
