Residents in Miles Platting that have taken part in Adactus’s Homefront DIY course, have put their skills in use by building plant boxes for a local school. The Adactus run course, helps residents with basic DIY skills including, tiling, plumbing, joinery, painting and decorating. When approached by Park View School in Miles Platting for help, Adactus and the volunteers aged between 20 and 50 years old were keen to get stuck into the project. BBC Radio Manchester - 10 March 2009 Following the success of Adactus’s walking club run in partnership with the Ramblers Association in Miles Platting, this succesful project has been rolled out in more areas the association works in, including Moss Side.
