Residents in Miles Platting that have taken part in Adactus’s Homefront DIY course, have put their skills in use by building plant boxes for a local school.  The Adactus run course, helps residents with basic DIY skills including, tiling, plumbing, joinery, painting and decorating.  When approached by Park View School in Miles Platting for help, Adactus and the volunteers aged between 20 and 50 years old were keen to get stuck into the project.  The new plant boxes will offer school children the opportunity …

BBC Radio Manchester - 10 March 2009 Following the success of Adactus’s walking club run in partnership with the Ramblers Association in Miles Platting, this succesful project has been rolled out in more areas the association works in, including Moss Side.  The BBC breakfast show visited Moss Side and interviewed staff from both Adactus Housing Association and the Ramblers Association as well as residents taking part on the day.  The delighted residents pointed out that the walking club offers them a great opportunity to explore …
