Kids in the Chorley area are set for a soccer filled summer holiday with the news that Freestyle Urban Soccer is running its pioneering street football programme throughout the school holidays. The scheme, sponsored by Chorley Community Housing (CCH), will run daytime football sessions every weekday from 1pm. Participation is free and children of any age can take part. Residents at one of our Supported Housing Schemes at High Street, Lancaster, have successfully bid for TV equipment for their communal lounge through the Adactus Housing Association’s Neighbourhood Fund. The equipment will enable the residents at the supported scheme to relax and enjoy shows together with friends and neighbours rather than watching in their flats alone. A £50,000 pot of money set aside by Chorley Community Housing (CCH) for neighbourhood regeneration has been overwhelmed by bids. The fund, now in its second year, has received over 40 applications totalling almost £130,000. Now tenants from CCH are getting ready to judge the bids and decide where the cash should be spent.
