A ‘Black and White Day’ at one of Chorley’s biggest town centre employers has helped raise money for cash strapped Chorley Football Club. The lenders – sometimes called loan sharks – prey on vulnerable communities by offering easy money without paperwork or the need to go through a complicated form filling process. Chorley Community Housing (CCH) has announced its opening hours over the Christmas holiday period. The 3,000 home landlord has also announced that from January 2012 it’s offices will open later in the mornings and close earlier in the afternoon. The Gillibrand Street offices will be open until 6pm on Friday 23rd December 2011 but will then be closed until 8.45am on Tuesday 3rd January 2012. Sausage rolls and mince pies were on the agenda when sheltered housing tenants at The Ryes in Heapey summoned Chorley Community Housing (CCH) staff to a Christmas meeting to mark the opening of their new log cabin.
