The Neighbourhood Fund is a substantial pot of money controlled by our tenants to support projects and initiatives in the local area. We originally set up the Fund in 2010 to make sure our customers benefited directly from the cost efficiencies made to the business. It only seems like yesterday, but April 2012 has seen the new Adactus Planned DLO reach its first anniversary. Since its commencement in 2011 the new team has delivered 1829 improvements to the groups housing stock and has created 48 new employment opportunities including 5 new apprenticeships. Much needed equipment has been provided for Wigan and Leigh Carers centre. The equipment was funded via the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund and included a projector, screen and laptop. The equipment will enable the centre to provide much needed training and support for carers of all ages in the Wigan Borough.
