A new luncheon club in Lightbowne celebrated its Grand Opening in true ‘Jubilee Style’ at St Dunstan’s Parish Hall today. Thanks to the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund, local resident David Law was able to turn his dream into a reality and throw open the doors of his new weekly luncheon club to the public. ‘Lightbowne Does Lunch’ has only been running for eight weeks and has gone from strength to strength.  Numbers have soared from 3 to 30 during this time …

More than 100 people packed out St Peter’s Parish Club on Eaves Lane in Chorley for the first Freestyle Urban Soccer FC awards ceremony. The event was held to mark the hard work and enthusiasm of almost forty boys and girls who take part in Freestyle’s three football teams, who participate in the Mid Lancs Colts Junior Football league.
